It’s been a local tradition giving joy to the masses for over 35 years!
Here at Vineyard Garden Center, we take days and days to transform our farm into a fun-filled Harvest Celebration. We have a Pumpkin Patch, Displays, Corn Maze, Playgrounds, A Light-Alley (non-spooky spook alley), inflatable slides and jump houses, animals, picture boards, pumpkin decorating contests, harvest supplies and decorations and much more!

So…What IS PUMPKINLAND?
It’s family centered fall fun. Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Light Alley, Playgrounds, Animal areas, Inflatables and more.
There are also lots of great prices on pumpkins for EVERYONE! Did you know you can come back later in the month of October and pick your own pumpkin from Farmer Grants Field?!? SWEEEET! Ask us about more details…..
Before the first frost of the season, the pumpkins can be seen peaking out of their leafy covers.
After the frost kills the vines, the pumpkins can be seen more clearly in the field. Sometimes they make their own unique arrangements.
We will have a variety of pumpkin carving kits and patterns for sale in the store. There’s lots of kid-style and family oriented kits and stencils.
We also carve a few pumpkins to provide carving ideas. Be sure to not only come see our PUMPKIN PARADE, but enter one in it as well! We have several contests this year, see our CONTESTS tab for more info.
Oh my GOURD! Have you come and seen Farmer Grant’s Famous Gourds? He grows them up arches, around poles and this year, has made a little tunnel and gourd house for you to see HUGE lumpy warty gourds and even little cupcake gourds! They last a long time and are great for decoration. Come try a swan gourd and let it dry over the winter and make a birdhouse out of it in spring.
Indian Corn is great decoration. Long lasting and bright colors, it’s harvest warmth will delight you with the kaleidoscope of colors all season! Not great for eating, but try planting it in the spring and see what you get! Great selection and unbeatable prices.
You will see all kinds of things while walking through the Corn Maze. Amazing Gourds and fun riddles. Watch out for some of grant’s Giant Garden veggies too! It’s so much fun to run and see it all, but please try to keep groups together and not run in the maze, for everyone’s safety.
RAIN OR SHINE! Pumpkinland is open everyday in October. Sometimes we get rainstorms and it gets a little muddy. Sometimes the Big Ogre in the corner of the field blows a cold wind across Pumpkinland. Be sure to wear good shoes and layers! We don’t have outdoor lighting, so make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to have an adventure and then shop and play in the pumpkin patch after.
Farmer Grant keeps rabbits, goats, turkeys, peacocks, chickens and a variety of other birds to add interest to PUMPKINLAND. While the animals are interesting to see and it is tempting to pet them, the rabbits sometimes bite, and the goats have been known to smash fingers against their cages, so it is best to keep fingers away from the animal pens.
HEY, DON’T FORGET ABOUT US! – We have many other various animals here at PUMPKINLAND. Jumping Goats and prancing Peacocks, quacking Chickens and Quacking Ducks and many more! Ever read the children’s book “The Hungry Caterpilliar” ? Well, the giant hungry caterpillar is HERE at PUMPKINLAND! He’s no ordinary worm though, he’s a Tomato Hornworm, a common pest in Farmer Grants field. Come visit and crawl through his belly!
PUMPKINLAND also includes a “Light Alley” which is much more kid friendly than the more common halloween ‘spook alley’ would be. It is decorated with fun displays and happy characters.
CHA-CHING!- Don’t forget your memories! There are all kinds of fun NEW picture boards this year. Lots of places to snap a quick pic, bring your camera or pick up a disposable one in the store.
Farmer grant brings in about 50 truckloads of pumpkins each year. Come see pumpkins of all sizes and shapes!
For families who visit Pumpkinland in the early evening (between the hours of 3:30 and 6:00) the inflatable bounce house and slides will be available when the weather allows us to have them up. (No fun in the rain, sorry) We are not able to offer them to school groups because otherwise there’s “too many monkeys, jumping on the bed!” and there isn’t a way to let everyone take a turn. We’d encourage school groups to come back with their families later in the afternoon/evening. Parent supervision is a MUST. We’re adding a bunch of new attractions this year so come see the new and renew your memories of the good old times!
The ‘bounce house’ is limited to children ages 2 to 6 so that the young ones cann have a safe place to play.
The smaller red slide is available for children 3 to 6 years old.
The large slide is open to children 4 to 10 years old.
If you’re looking for more info for your school group, please feel free to give us a call, we’d love to hear from you! We’ll start taking reservations for school groups beginning of september.
